I finally got around to generating a new APK for the Travel App!
You can find a video at the bottom of the page and a link to the source code here.
I created a new APK for the Travel app in preparation for a new release on the Google Play Store. The new release should fix the app crashing bug I found last time.
After fixing the discrepancy in the applicationId, I attempted to generate a new APK. However, I kept seeing a message telling me the password verification failed (click below).
I did some light research before trying again. I even found a way to check the password of the keystore and it was the same one I entered…well, so I thought.
Turns out I entered the wrong password for the keystore. Once I turned off Caps Lock (sad, I know) everything worked as expected. Now my APK is ready to go!
Having a way to confirm the keystore password saved me a lot of headache. Next up, I’ll update the release on the Google Play Console (for real this time).
