Moving Forward

I sat down and thought about why I made Codingfanatic. Now for my next move.

It started as an idea. A place to network with other developers in the community. I abandoned this idea when I found the Black Code Collective on Meetups. I found a great community of developers and no longer felt a need to start one.

Later I decided to use it as a means to make passive income using ad revenue. Then I stopped writing code while I studied for my CompTIA A+ certification. I wanted to take my career seriously and invest as much time into my learning as possible.

After this, I got back into programming and figured this was a good place to publish my progress and attract employers. If I could get a new job and make more money, I could finance the remaining classes for my Bachelor’s degree.

Thankfully, my newfound programming skills earned me a position as a test engineer and I’m able to pay for school. However, 100DaysofCode has taken the back burner. WAYYYY back. What happens now?

The same thing that happened to my podcast. I’ll document my progress the way I’m supposed to. No ulterior motives. Just life advice and progress the way it was meant to be.

You know when you’re playing a fighting game and you keep losing to the same boss using the same tactics? Eventually you get tired of hearing “Continue?”. Oh well, that’s life.

No one is perfect. We all have a lot going on upstairs and it’s an endless battle learning to balance everything and stick with it. This is my next step forward and I look forward to telling my story. I hope it inspires someone out there to grow and share their wisdom as well.
